Other Ways to Support Locally
~ Check in with local senior lodges or living facilities if they have any holiday programs or needs for certain isolated older adults.
~ Check in with your Primary Care Network if they have any initiatives, collections or programs.
~ Check in with local churches or community centres if there's any opportunities or ways to volunteer.
~ Consider Social Work or Dietician consults for Holiday supports and resources available like hamper baskets, additional funds/grants, connections to charities.
~ Consider making a food donation to local food bank.
~ Consider doing random acts of kindness like shovelling snow, brushing off snow off a car, baking treats, making extra meals to freeze, singing carols, etc.
